Addressing sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) is a top priority of the UN Secretary-General and the entire leadership of the United Nations. And your actions count!

The Anti-discrimination & Anti-racism Dialogue welcomes all to participate

Learn how to address racism and discrimination in a safe space. From 9AM CEST (17th August) or 3PM CEST (10th August), English-speaking UN Volunteers will share lived experiences and lessons with the expert facilitator. Why not be there? Spanish-speakers, your (28th September) anti-discrimination and anti-discrimination dialogue is also now open for sign-ups.

Capacity Development Learning Facility (CDLF) initiatives

WFP volunteers in Venezuela strengthened their capacities in cross-cutting thematic areas

In collaboration World Food Programme (WFP), we recently hosted a skills-strengthening programme (Programa de Fortalecimiento de Capacidades) for 49 serving UN Volunteers, funded by UNV’s Capacity Development Facility (CDLF).

This three-part virtual workshop covered wide-ranging topics, relevant to enhancing skills for performance and assignment with WFP, from Effective Working, and Leaving No One Behind, to an onboarding session on CVs and competency-based interview preparation.

The Republic of Burundi is now brimming with skilled leaders
and managers

From 7-10th June, UNV hosted CDLF activities for UN Volunteers in Bujumbura, Burundi. 65 UN Volunteers participated in workshops on leadership and management during assignment and beyond, including work with stakeholders, conflict management, build team spirit, and more key topics, all co-led by external experts, International UN Volunteer from UNDP/Global Fund Programme, UNV Field Unit personnel, and a trainer.
