Exciting News from Istanbul!

The inaugural cohort of UN Youth Volunteer Workshops in 2024 has officially begun in Istanbul!

From March 19th to 22nd, 36 volunteers representing 17 diverse countries gathered for an onsite workshop organized by the UNV Regional Office for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), along with the UNV Capacity Development Team.

The workshop's objectives were to:

Develop leadership skills
Enhance conflict management abilities
Cultivate intercultural sensitivity
Foster a strong support community

This event marks a significant step towards empowering young volunteers to make a positive impact on a global scale.

Empowering UN Volunteers in Somalia!

In Mogadishu, 37 dedicated UN Volunteers came together for a transformative two-day workshop on Career Management. Led by the UNV Somalia Field Unit in collaboration with the UNV Capacity Development team, this initiative aimed to equip volunteers with essential knowledge and skills to navigate their professional journeys effectively.

Highlights of the workshop included:

Aligning career ambitions with strengths
Mastering the art of effective job applications
Excelling in competency-based interviews
Crafting personalized career plans

Through intensive sessions, both onsite and remotely, facilitated by experts, volunteers honed their abilities to seize opportunities within and outside the UN System. This CLDF initiative marks a pivotal moment as 37 UN Volunteers take charge of their professional development journey with confidence and determination.
